Arapahoe County Jail Inmate Search, Booking & Visitation

Find the official inmate lookup, detention facility address, bond information, GettingOut visitation instructions, and practical answers about Arapahoe County jail services.

Arapahoe County Detention Facility Address And Phone

The detention facility is located at 7375 South Potomac Street, Centennial, CO 80112. The county lists its detention information number as 720-874-3500 and says the facility operates 24 hours a day. That does not mean every public counter or visitation service operates around the clock.

The Sheriff's Office headquarters and Records Unit are at 13101 East Broncos Parkway, a different location. Do not travel to headquarters for jail services without confirming the correct destination.

The county's directions page describes traveling east from I-25 on Arapahoe Road to Potomac Street. It also identifies an RTD Route 66 stop near Fremont Avenue and Potomac Street. Confirm current transit routes before traveling.

Booking Records, Charges And Release Status

An arrest, booking, transfer, court appearance and release are separate events. A very recent arrest may not appear immediately in an online lookup. If a result is missing, verify the person's spelling, allow for processing time, and contact the jail directly.

The official lookup provides charge and bond information, but online records may not show every hold or restriction. A displayed bond amount is not a guarantee that payment will result in release. The Sheriff also describes an In Custody Report for documentation of past booking and release periods; that is different from checking current custody.

Video Visitation And GettingOut Registration

The Sheriff's Office describes family and friend video visits through ViaPath/GTL GettingOut. Its instructions tell visitors to confirm that the person is actually held at Arapahoe County Detention Facility, create or sign into a GettingOut account, select the person and schedule a visit.

The county also publishes rules concerning on-site visitation and visitor identification. Since schedules and approved formats can change, confirm current availability directly before traveling or paying a vendor. Professional attorney visits have separate requirements, including identification and a bar card.

Arapahoe County Bond Types, Fees And Release

The Sheriff's Office distinguishes cash bonds, surety bonds, personal-recognizance (PR) bonds and PR bonds requiring a co-signer. Court orders control eligibility and release conditions. A person may have more than one bond or a separate hold.

The county describes authorized in-person and electronic bond-payment procedures. Before paying, confirm the inmate's identity, case, bond type, amount, additional holds and authorized payment method using official county channels.

Crucially, the county's statutory notice states that booking fees, bond fees and other debts do not need to be paid to secure release on a money bond. Certain fees can instead remain a debt after release. Do not confuse the facility's fee schedule with the amount legally required to secure release.

Sending Inmate Funds And Commissary Purchases

The county publishes several ways to deposit money into an inmate account, including designated lobby kiosks and approved online and telephone methods. Its account-services page identifies TouchPay and Site ID 280112 for certain transactions. Verify the current vendor, service fees and identification requirements on the official site before paying.

Depositing money into an inmate trust account is different from posting bond. The county also provides separate information about commissary gifts and restrictions. Never send funds to an unexpected caller claiming to represent the jail or court.

Inmate Mail And Telephone Services

The Sheriff's Office Records Unit lists a separate mailing address for inmate correspondence: Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility, P.O. Box 4918, Centennial, CO 80155-4918.

Before mailing documents, money or other items, check the current inmate-mail rules and recipient-identification requirements. The physical detention-facility address is not necessarily the proper correspondence address. The official inmate-information directory also provides telephone-service guidance.
